How the desk works

How we check the casinos: five criteria, dates of reading and two real trials

Every entry on this site comes from a document with a date: the operator's terms, a campaign page or a licence register. Here is who reads, what we read, and how the ranking is counted.

In short: this is how we check every operator on the site. We read the operator's own terms, look the licence up in the register of the authority that issued it, and note the day we did it. Figures, clause numbers and dates on these pages can be followed back to such a document.

This page also describes how the ranking is counted and which two trials we have run with our own money.

Who reads

All the work is done by the desk, a team that reads operators' terms and licence registers. We write in the first person plural and name no individual in the texts.

This site is not a gambling site: there are no accounts, no balances and no stakes here. Gambling is for those who are 18 or over.

The documents we read

  • General terms — the most important document. This is where the clauses on identity checks, withdrawals, wagering of the deposit and countries the operator does not accept are found.
  • Campaign and VIP pages — percentages, ceilings, wagering requirements and loyalty rates, as the operator prints them.
  • Help centres and payment pages — coins, networks and the payment methods the cashier describes.
  • Registration forms — which fields the operator requires when you open an account, for instance Vave's form with a nickname, an e-mail address and a password, saved on 24 August 2026.
  • Licence registers — the Curaçao Gaming Authority's portal cert.cga.cw and the public Anjouan register at anjouangaming.com.

What the operators publish about paying a win out is gathered on a single page, caps, fees and instalments.

When two sources disagree

For the licence the register weighs more than the operator's footer, because the register is written by somebody other than the seller. For everything else the operator's terms come before any summary, our own included. If you read one thing here and another in the terms, it is the terms that apply and we who should correct.

Comparison sites, reviews and forum threads are never used as a source. How common forum questions can still be answered with the clauses of the terms is shown on the page about questions from the forums.

Dates of reading

The operators' documents were read between 24 August and 12 September 2026. A few examples:

  • Vave's campaign and VIP pages on 24 August, section 8 of the terms on 25 August.
  • The terms at Bitcasino.io, Rocketpot, Rainbet, Bitsler, Wolf.bet, Metaspins and Wild Fortune on 2 September.
  • Shuffle's terms and register entry on 8 September.
  • The Curaçao portal for Vave on 12 September, and for Rocketpot on 12 and 13 September.

Every entry carries its date. When we read a document again the date changes, and the change is entered in the log with addresses and dates.

The five criteria

The order of the ranking rests on five questions. All of them concern what you can expect when you want to withdraw money, and whether the licence can be tested:

  1. Do the operator's terms contain a clause about identity checks?
  2. Do the terms say when the check begins?
  3. Do the terms print an amount?
  4. Do the terms set a deadline for sending documents?
  5. Can the licence be found in the register of the authority that issued it, for the operator's own domain?

The size of the bonus and the number of games lie outside the score. They are reported on each operator's row but do not affect the order. When the site says a casino ranks high, these five questions are what is meant.

The order is: 1 Bitcasino.io, 2 Rocketpot, 3 Wild Fortune, 4 Metaspins, 5 Rainbet, 6 Shuffle, 7 Bitsler, 8 Thunderpick, 9 Jack.com, 10 Wild.io, 11 Wolf.bet and 12 TrustDice. Rows 13 to 30 are other casinos, where we write only what the list reports. The fact boxes for each operator are in the table with all thirty rows.

Why the identity check weighs so heavily

It is at the withdrawal that an unknown rule costs most. A clause naming an amount and a deadline lets you prepare documents before you request a large withdrawal. Rocketpot names 2,500 $ or 0.05 BTC (clause 11.4), for instance, and Bitcasino.io names 2,500 € (clause 6.6). At Vave cl. 8.7 gives the right to ask before every payout, with 14 days for the documents.

How we check the licence in the register

We search on domain or company name and compare three things: the company, the domain and the status. A few outcomes from September 2026:

  • Rocketpot prints 1668/JAZ; the Curaçao portal answered “not valid” on 12 and 13 September.
  • Wild.io stands on the certificate as Nonce Gaming B.V., while the terms name Stack Gaming Ltd.
  • Metaspins gives Anjouan in the terms, but the Curaçao register holds Metaspins N.V.
  • Wild Fortune: the licence from Anjouan, ALSI-202509073-FI2, has the expiry date 29 September 2026.
  • Jack.com: Data Link Digital B.V. holds an active certificate from Curaçao, number OGL/2024/1562/1139, since 23 July 2025.
  • Vave: on 12 September the portal showed a single domain under the certificate, vavegame.com, while vave.com was missing.

Two trials with our own money

The desk has run two trials with its own money. Everything else on the site is read, not played.

Vave, 28 August 2026. We deposited and withdrew our own money. No identity check appeared as long as the withdrawals together stayed below around 5,000 USDT. That is what one account showed over one period, not a rule: under cl. 8.7 Vave may demand identity ahead of every payout.

TrustDice, May 2026. Over several weeks we deposited USDT. The payouts happened without verification until the sum of them had passed roughly 5,000 US$. The next withdrawal was then left sitting with the status “payment under review”, until an e-mail from compliance arrived with a link to Veriff. The driving licence was not enough; only the fifth attempt with a passport was accepted. Later TrustDice wanted the documents once more, by e-mail.

Vave

Vave is shown above the ranking, outside the scoring, and is not counted among the twelve. We read Vave exactly as we read the others: the company is Latcas B.V., certificate OGL/2024/1676/0905 was issued by the Curaçao Gaming Authority and has been active since 19 May 2025, the welcome package was read on 24 August 2026 and the terms in clauses 8.7, 8.8 and 8.11. What we do not write

  • No promised withdrawal times and no claims about speed.
  • No campaign codes.
  • No entries without a document and a date. Where something is missing, the field stands as a dash.
  • No opinions about operators that we cannot support with a clause or a register entry.

If you find an entry that does not match the operator's document, compare the date beside the entry with the date of the document itself. If the terms have changed since our reading, it is the new wording that applies to your account, and we update the page at the next reading with the change in the log.

Frequently asked questions

How often do you read the terms again?
Every entry carries its date of reading, and we read documents again when a licence nears its expiry date or when an operator changes its pages. Wild Fortune's licence from Anjouan expires on 29 September 2026 and is therefore checked again. When a date changes, the change is entered in the log on the page of sources, so that you can see what applied before.
Does Vave affect the order of the ranking?
No. Vave is shown above the ranking and is not counted among the twelve. The order of the twelve rests only on the five criteria about identity checks and licences. No row, no placing and no mention in the text is arranged with an operator.
Have you played at every casino in the list?
No. The desk has run two trials with its own money: at Vave on 28 August 2026 and at TrustDice in May 2026. Everything else rests on the operators' own terms, campaign pages and licence registers, read between 24 August and 12 September 2026. The trials are described as observations from one account, because the terms can give the operator the right to act differently next time.
