Bonus terms: wagering, maximum stake and caps in the operators' own words
A welcome offer says little until you have read four clauses: the wagering requirement, the maximum stake, which games count and the cap on what the bonus can pay. Here they are, with examples from the operators' own terms.
Anyone searching for a casino bonus is met almost always by a percentage and an amount in large figures. The value is settled further down, in the bonus terms and in the general terms: how many times the money has to be wagered, how large a stake you may place meanwhile, which games count and how much the bonus can pay at most.
This guide takes the clauses one at a time and shows how they look at the operators in our ranking, with clause numbers and dates of reading.
What a bonus consists of
A deposit bonus matches your deposit with a percentage up to a ceiling. Deposit 100 € with a bonus of 150% and you receive 150 € in bonus money and play with 250 €. Free spins are spins on a particular slot at a fixed stake value, and the winnings from them often land as bonus money with requirements of their own.
Two further forms are common at crypto casinos. Cashback returns a share of the net loss over a period. Loyalty programmes hand out points according to how much you turn over and exchange them for balance.
Packages over several deposits are standard. Each step then has its own percentage and its own ceiling, and the requirements can differ between the first deposit and the fourth. Read every step on its own rather than the sum of the package. What each operator in the ranking on the front page offers is summarised there.

The wagering requirement makes offers comparable
The wagering requirement states how many times an amount has to be staked before it can be withdrawn. Count like this: the bonus amount multiplied by the factor gives the total of all the stakes you need to place. A bonus of 100 € with a 30-times requirement therefore means 3,000 € in stakes.
Check what the factor applies to as well. If it says bonus plus deposit, the sum doubles on a 100% bonus, and that difference is what makes two identical-looking headlines entirely different in practice.
Three examples from the ranking, read on 2 September 2026:
- Bitcasino.io prints 30 times on the bonus money, with seven days to do it, in a package over three deposits totalling up to 5,000 USDT and with at least 50 USDT per deposit.
- Rainbet lets you choose a route before the first deposit. One carries a 40-times requirement; in the other the bonus is released in stages as you play.
- Rocketpot has bonus terms edited on 10 August 2022, where the standard requirement is 100 times unless the individual bonus says otherwise.
The deposit often carries a requirement of its own
Many people miss that the deposit itself may have to be wagered, with or without a bonus. That requirement mostly stands in the general terms under withdrawals rather than in the campaign text.
Vave is clear here. Under cl. 8.11 of the terms, section 8 saved on 25 August 2026, the deposit has to be wagered three times in casino and live casino, or once on sport, before a withdrawal is made. Rocketpot's clause 11.2 and Wild Fortune's clause 9.7 likewise require three times the deposit.
Once is enough at several others. Bitcasino.io reserves it in clause 6.4, Metaspins in clause 4.2 and Bitsler in clause 8.13. Rainbet places a single-wagering lock on crypto deposits in clause 8.7. Shuffle requires once in clause 10.2; the exception is a crypto withdrawal back to the same wallet on the same network.

The maximum stake while the requirement runs
While you are wagering you may not stake whatever you like. Bitcasino.io sets the maximum stake at 4 USDT or the equivalent. Metaspins sets the limit at 5 USDT per spin or round of play under section 14 of its terms. Rainbet counts in percentages instead: at most 2% of the deposit per stake.
Check what is meant to happen if you go over the limit. A single stake that is too high can be enough for the bonus and the winnings attached to it to be struck out, so read the clause before you start playing rather than afterwards.
Games that count and games that do not
The game weighting decides how much of a stake counts towards the requirement. If blackjack counts at 10%, a stake of 10 € moves you only 1 € closer to the target.
- Bitcasino.io counts slots at 100%, game shows at 20%, live dealer along with table and random-number games at 10%, and the house's own games at nothing.
- Metaspins lets only slots count in full under clause 14.13.1. Live, table games, sport, crash, plinko, mines and the house's own games do not count at all.
- Rocketpot lets house games contribute 0.1 times the stake, while sport, video poker, live and table games contribute nothing.
Excluded games are a fourth rule. Rainbet shuts out slots with a theoretical return above 97.4% from both welcome routes.
The cap on what a bonus can pay
The cap is the figure that shows what an offer can pay at most, and it almost never stands in the headline. It sits in the bonus terms or in the general terms.
Wolf.bet limits the payout from its welcome bonus to 1.5 times the value of the bonus, according to its campaign page. Wild Fortune strikes out, under clause 11.15, the part of the winnings tied to the first three deposits that exceeds 7,500 Canadian dollars, whether or not you took a bonus. Funds you deposited yourself can still be withdrawn.

How many bonuses and accounts you may hold
Several clauses govern how many offers you can hold at once. At Metaspins you may hold a single active bonus at a time under clause 14.17.1, and clause 8.1 limits the number of accounts to one per person, household, IP address and device. Clause 14.18.2 removes a bonus that has expired, together with unused bonus funds and the winnings attached to them.
Rainbet does not let you top up a bonus already running (clause 9.4), and the welcome offer applies to the first account only (clause 9.6). At Bitsler each person may take part once per campaign under clause 10.4, and clause 10.5 requires campaign deposits to be wagered at least once. At Bitcasino.io the deposit can be locked for as long as the wagering is under way.
Where the steady value sits: loyalty and cashback
The steadier value sits more often in loyalty programmes, where the terms write the rates out. According to its VIP page, saved on 24 August 2026, Vave gives one point per 30 USDT staked on slots, while table games and live dealer give no points. 200 points are exchanged for 1 USDT, that is, roughly 1 USDT per 6,000 USDT in stakes. Cashback every week, at most 7% of the net loss and available from VIP level 1, means more for somebody who plays regularly.
Treat all of it as extra playing time rather than as income. A percentage returned on a loss is still a loss.
Vave's welcome package, clause by clause
Vave is shown above the ranking, and the package is a good example of how several documents hang together. According to the campaign page, read on 24 August 2026, the first deposit is matched at 150%, at most 1.5 BTC, and 100 free spins come with it. The second deposit gives 100% up to 1 BTC, the third 50% up to 1 BTC and the fourth 25% up to 0.5 BTC.
No wagering factor for the bonus stands on the campaign page. That makes the general terms more important:
- Cl. 8.11 — the deposit is wagered three times in casino and live, once on sport, before a withdrawal.
- Cl. 8.7 — Vave may ask for identity before every payout, and you have 14 days to send the documents.
- Cl. 8.8 — no cap per period; wins of 50,000 USDT or more may in exceptional cases be split into equal payments.
On 28 August 2026 the desk deposited and withdrew its own money at Vave. Up to around 5,000 USDT in withdrawals in total, no identification was asked for. That is an observation from one account over one period and not a rule, because cl. 8.7 still gives Vave the right to ask. A checklist before you take a bonus
Go through these points before you say yes to an offer.
- Does the factor apply to the bonus, to bonus plus deposit, or is it not stated at all?
- Is there a separate requirement on the deposit in the general terms?
- How high is the maximum stake, and what happens if you go over it?
- Do the games you actually play count, and at what percentage?
- Is there a cap on what the bonus can pay, and does it also cover winnings on your own money?
- How long does the bonus last, and what is struck out when the time runs out?
- Does the offer apply to one account per person, household or device?
