Two checks, two purposes
BankID without a Swedish licence: login, payment and identity check
BankID confirms who approves a payment. The operator's identity check tests who owns the gaming account, and it is governed by the terms: what starts it, which amount applies and how long a deadline you get.
BankID at a casino without a Swedish licence sounds like a single question, but it holds two entirely different checks. One happens at the bank when you approve a payment. The other happens at the operator when it wants to know who owns the gaming account, and it is governed by the operator's own terms, not by the bank.
Anyone searching for this usually wants to avoid forms and documents. Here we explain where the two checks sit, what the operators in the ranking write about their own check, and what happened when the desk deposited and withdrew real money at Vave and TrustDice. BankID appears in the terms of no operator in the ranking, and we therefore promise no such login at any of them.
Two checks with different purposes
BankID in the payment
When you pay straight from the bank you log in to the bank's dialogue and approve the amount, in Sweden often with BankID. The check answers one question: do you control the account right now? It happens at the bank or the payment service and travels with the payment, not with your gaming account. How such a payment works is described on the page about bank transfers.
The operator's own identity check
The operator makes a test of its own, often called KYC. It generally requires documents: photo identification, a proof of address and sometimes proof that the payment method is yours. A casino with a Swedish licence can tie BankID straight to the account, but a foreign operator mostly has no such agreement and asks for paperwork instead.
The point is that one check does not replace the other. A payment can go through without trouble, and the operator can still ask for a passport and a proof of address on the day you want to withdraw.

What the login can and cannot do
The bank's login is strong identification of whoever is paying. But it does not give the operator a copy of your passport, a proof of address or any word on where the money came from. Those are precisely the things the terms reserve the right to demand.
So read the verification clause even when the deposit feels simple. It is the terms, not the login, that decide when the check comes, how much you can withdraw before it comes, and what deadline applies to your answer.
In the terms: trigger, amount and deadline
The operators differ most in three respects: what starts the check, whether an amount is written out, and whether you get a deadline for the documents. Those are also three of the five criteria the ranking on the front page is built on.
An amount is written out
- Bitcasino.io may require documents for withdrawals above 2,500 € or the equivalent in crypto (cl. 6.6) and also makes random account reviews (cl. 3.13). The terms enumerate photo identification, proof of address, a copy of the payment card and material showing that the payment method belongs to you (cl. 6.5).
- Rocketpot has two numbers with no explanation: 0.05 BTC or 2,500 USD under cl. 11.4 and 2,000 USD under cl. 12.4. The deadline for the documents is 30 calendar days (cl. 12.2). Under cl. 11.8 you may also have to sign a text with the wallet that funded an early deposit.
A check before a withdrawal, with no amount
- Vave may check identity before every payout (cl. 8.7). You have 14 days, and the operator may ask for a picture of you holding the identity document, a similar picture in which you also show a piece of paper with the site's name and the day's date, a telephone call, or in some cases a video call.
- Wild Fortune checks before every withdrawal (cl. 11.2) and wants identification before any BTC stakes are made (cl. 2.7). The deadline is two weeks from the withdrawal request.
- Rainbet reserves the check before a withdrawal (cl. 20.1): photo identification, a selfie with the document, proof of residential address and a verification call, with three days to send it in.
- Shuffle checks when you reach a level the operator sets, and in any event before the first withdrawal (cl. 5.2).
An event or a level
- Metaspins triggers the check at a level of play not given in figures (cl. 9.7); for the documents there are 30 days (cl. 9.10).
- Bitsler may demand documents on large deposits or at a particular level of play (cl. 8.22) and has an open right in cl. 4.3. The operator uses Veriff.
No moment stated
Thunderpick (cl. 21.1) and Wolfbet (5 § 1) have a verification clause but do not state when the check starts. At Wolfbet the account may be frozen or closed until the documents have arrived (5 § 3).
The identity check is only half the picture; the licence is the other. How to look a licence and its holder up with the authority that issued it is shown on the page about the licence registers.
Fact boxes with licence and check for every casino are in the comparison operator by operator.
How an identity check runs in practice
The request usually comes as an e-mail or a message in the account, sometimes only once a withdrawal has been requested. You upload pictures of the documents in the operator's portal or through an outside service. Bitsler states that it uses Veriff, and in the TrustDice trial the link to the same kind of service came by e-mail from compliance.
Picture quality decides a great deal. The whole document has to be visible, the text has to be readable and the photograph must not be cropped. A rejection usually means you may try again, but every new attempt drags the case out and can raise follow-up questions. Count on the check not always being over after the first approval, either: TrustDice asked for documents a second time, long after the first review.
Further requirements in the terms
Beyond a passport and a proof of address there are a few clauses that are easy to miss:
- Wild Fortune may require proof that the payment method is yours, a photograph or a screenshot supporting your current address, a telephone call, and video verification if the documents are not written in Latin or Cyrillic letters (clauses 8.4, 9.3, 9.5, 11.2 and 18.1).
- Shuffle may ask, beyond identification, about the origin of the money (cl. 5.4) and runs electronic checks against databases (cl. 5.2).
- Metaspins may close the account and withdraw winnings and bonuses if the details do not match the documents; the deposit may then be paid back (cl. 9.9).
- Vave refuses a withdrawal and closes the account if the details given turn out to be wrong (cl. 8.7).
- Rainbet freezes the account if documents are forged (cl. 20.2).
- Wolfbet may hold funds on suspicion and may then not tell the player that an investigation is under way (5 § 2).
Anyone looking for a casino where a bank login does the work would do well to read exactly these clauses. They show what the operator may demand beyond the bank's login, and what happens when details and documents do not add up.
What happens when the deadline runs out
The deadline is the part of the terms that costs most when it is missed. Vave may close the account and withdraw the winnings if the documents fail to arrive (cl. 8.7). Wild Fortune may lock the account and annul the withdrawal (cl. 8.4) or close the account and confiscate the funds (cl. 9.3). Metaspins may suspend the account, hold withdrawals back and take the remaining balance (cl. 9.10). Rocketpot freezes the money and limits play (cl. 12.2), and Shuffle may close the account and let winnings be lost (cl. 5.6).
Write down the date when a request arrives. A deadline counted from the withdrawal request, as at Wild Fortune, starts running the moment you press the button.
Two trials: when the check actually came
The desk has tried two operators with its own money. We have played at no other casino on this site.
Vave, 28 August 2026. We made deposits and withdrawals. Up to around 5,000 USDT in total the withdrawals left without any identity check. The observation rests on one account and one period and is no rule: cl. 8.7 still lets Vave demand identity before every payout.
TrustDice, May 2026. We deposited USDT over several weeks. Without verification the withdrawals left until the sum of them passed roughly 5,000 US$. After that the next request landed in the state “payment under review”, and compliance got in touch by e-mail with a link to Veriff. The driving licence was rejected; the passport was accepted on the fifth attempt. On a later occasion TrustDice asked for documents again, also by e-mail.
Both trials point the same way: the check can come late, but it comes. How it affects the pace of a withdrawal is described on the page about what a withdrawal waits on.
A checklist for documents
Anyone with the paperwork ready before the first withdrawal avoids a scramble when the request comes.
- A valid passport. In the TrustDice trial the driving licence was not enough. A passport with a clear photograph is a good first choice.
- A recent proof of address. Bitsler wants a bill or a bank statement no more than three months old, with all four corners visible.
- Proof of the payment method. Have a statement or a picture of the card ready in case the operator asks who the payment method belongs to.
- Access to the wallet. Rocketpot may ask you to sign a message from the address you deposited from (cl. 11.8).
- The right details from the start. Name, date of birth and address have to match the documents; wrong details are grounds for closing the account at several operators.
- The date. Note when the request arrived and which deadline applies.
How registration without a form works, and why the check then lands at the withdrawal, is described on the page about pay and play. How we read and date every clause is explained in our method.
