Casinos without a Swedish licence: licence, cashier and terms in practice
How a foreign operator works from day to day: the licence and the register behind it, the identity clause in the terms, the cashier, the bonus rules and the road to take when something goes wrong, with examples from twelve operators in our ranking.
A casino without a Swedish licence is an operator holding its permission from an authority outside Sweden, in our list most often Curaçao or Anjouan, and running account, cashier and withdrawals under its own terms. Those terms, and the register of the authority that issued the licence, are what decide what you can count on. This guide shows how to read both, step by step.
The examples come from the twelve operators in our ranking with a fact box per operator and from Vave, shown above the ranking. Behind every figure on this page sits a clause in the operator's terms or a date in a register.
What the phrase means in practice
The word licence means something other than many people think. Most foreign casinos still hold a permission, issued by an authority in another country. What is called a casino without a licence in Sweden therefore usually holds a licence somewhere else, and that licence can be looked up. Rainbet is the exception: the site publishes no licence number, and clause 21.6 of the terms names the body Gaming Services Provider N.V.
When you open an account you accept the operator's terms of use. That document is your agreement. It says when the company may ask for identity documents, how much you may withdraw per week or month, whether the deposit has to be wagered before a withdrawal, and what happens to an account that breaks the rules. Anyone playing at a foreign operator does well to read those sections before the first deposit rather than after.
Three things differ most for a first-time reader. The licence is checked in a foreign register. The terms are usually written in English and numbered clause by clause. And the cashier is built first of all on cryptocurrencies, which are the ones written out in the terms and help pages we have read.

How to choose between them
There is no shortcut past the terms, but there is an order that saves time. The checklist below is the one we follow ourselves when an operator enters the list, and it works just as well when you compare on your own.
- The licence and the holder. Find the number in the footer or in the first clause of the terms. Then look the domain up in the register and check that the company and the web address match what you see on the site.
- The identity clause. Search for words like KYC, verification or identity. Note when the check starts, whether an amount is written out, and what deadline you get for the documents.
- The withdrawal limits. Check whether there is a cap per day, week or month, and what applies to a large win.
- Wagering the deposit. Several operators require the deposit to be played through once or several times before a withdrawal, bonus or no bonus.
- Coins and networks. Check that the coin and the network you mean to use appear in the cashier, and whether there is a minimum deposit.
- The bonus terms. Read the wagering requirement, the maximum stake and the time limit before you say yes.
- The country list. What the operators' lists of restricted countries say about Sweden is shown in a figure on the page about the licence registers, and nowhere else.
- Age and your own limits. You have to be 18, and you should decide on a budget before you deposit.

The licence: how to check one
The licence belongs to a company, and a certificate lists the domains it covers. That is why a number in the footer is not enough. You want to know that the number is in the register, that the company is called the same thing there, and that the web address you are playing on stands on the certificate.
Curaçao. The Curaçao Gaming Authority keeps a certificate portal at cert.cga.cw. The search there works from domain and company name rather than from a licence number, so start with the web address. Bitcasino.io is a clean example: the certificate stands in the name of Moon Technologies B.V. with the number OGL/2023/111/0069, and the domain bitcasino.io was on the certificate when we looked it up on 12 September 2026.
Vave shows why the domain matters. Latcas B.V. holds certificate OGL/2024/1676/0905, active since 19 May 2025, but on 12 September 2026 the portal listed a single domain on it: vavegame.com. The address vave.com is not there. Rocketpot prints 1668/JAZ in clause 1.2, but the portal showed it as “not valid” on 12 and 13 September 2026.
Anjouan. The public Anjouan register shows company, status, date of issue, last day of validity and the domains sitting under the number. Wild Fortune's entry stands in the name of Metlait SRL under ALSI-202509073-FI2, and the licence expires on 29 September 2026. After that date the register needs reading again.
Two operators in the list call for extra attention. Metaspins has an Anjouan number in its terms, but the Curaçao register holds Metaspins N.V. with licence OGL/2024/1063/0437. Wild.io's licence covers the company Nonce Gaming B.V., while the contracting party in the terms is Stack Gaming Ltd. The identity check: three questions to the terms
Every operator in our list has the right to ask for identity documents, but they write it in different ways. Three questions sort them quickly: when does the check begin, is an amount written out, and how much time do you get for the documents?
When. Under cl. 8.7 Vave may check identity before every payout. Rainbet puts the check at the withdrawal in clause 20.1. Wild Fortune requires identification before you play with bitcoin (cl. 2.7) and after that before every withdrawal (cl. 11.2). Shuffle.com checks at a level it sets itself, and at the latest before the first withdrawal leaves (cl. 5.2). At Thunderpick (cl. 21.1) and Wolfbet (clause 5, paragraph 1) the right to ask is written down, but no moment is.
How much. Only two operators write out a sum. Bitcasino.io sets the threshold at 2,500 €, or the same value in crypto (cl. 6.6). Rocketpot has two figures in the same document: 2,500 USD or 0.05 BTC in clause 11.4 and 2,000 USD in clause 12.4.
How long. Vave gives 14 days (cl. 8.7), Wild Fortune two weeks counted from the withdrawal request, Rocketpot 30 calendar days (cl. 12.2), Metaspins 30 days (cl. 9.10) and Rainbet three days (cl. 20.1).
The terms are one thing and practice another. Twice the desk has used its own money to see how the check works in practice. At Vave on 28 August 2026 the withdrawals went through without any request for identification, up to around 5,000 USDT in total, on one account over one period — and cl. 8.7 still gives Vave the right to ask before every payout. At TrustDice in May 2026 we deposited USDT over several weeks. Once the withdrawals in total had passed roughly 5,000 US$ the next one landed in “payment under review”, and a Veriff link arrived by e-mail after that. The driving licence was rejected, the passport was accepted on the fifth attempt, and later on TrustDice wrote again asking for documents once more.

Payments: what the cashier shows
In the terms and help pages we have read for the ranking, it is cryptocurrencies that are written out. Bitcasino.io names twelve coins in its help centre, among them BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, TRX and TON. Rocketpot counts thirteen, with USDT both as ERC-20 and TRC-20, and accepts one network confirmation (cl. 10.5). Wild Fortune has ten coins on its payments page, Rainbet names nine and Wolfbet lists 32 in its questions and answers. Shuffle.com shows its currencies only in the cashier after registration (cl. 9.4).
Read the small print about deposits too, before you send money. At Rocketpot a deposit below 0.001 BTC is lost (cl. 10.2). Several operators require the withdrawal to follow the same road as the deposit: Rocketpot to the same coin and wallet (cl. 11.1), Metaspins in the same cryptocurrency (cl. 11.3) and Rainbet by the same method (cl. 8.4).
Swedish payment methods work differently here. Trustly moves money straight from your bank, Swish ties the payment to a mobile number, Zimpler is a payment service linked to the bank, and BankID is used to identify you. Rainbet's question section names cards and bank transfer, but no operator in the list writes out Trustly, Swish, Zimpler or BankID in the documents we hold. Withdrawals: what decides when the money arrives
Nobody can promise a withdrawal time, and we write none. What can be read in the terms is which steps stand between your request and your wallet. There are essentially four.
- The identity check. If the check starts at the withdrawal, as at Vave and Rainbet, the documents stand between you and the money.
- Wagering the deposit. At Vave the deposit has to be wagered three times on casino play and once on sports betting (cl. 8.11). Three times applies at Rocketpot under cl. 11.2 and at Wild Fortune under cl. 9.7, once at Metaspins (cl. 4.2). Shuffle.com requires once, but under cl. 10.2 the requirement falls away when the crypto goes back to the wallet you deposited from, on the same network.
- Caps per period. Wild Fortune's cap is 15,000 € a month, with sub-limits of 5,000 € a week and 1,000 € a day (cl. 11.8). Wolfbet has a weekly cap of 8,000 USD and a monthly cap of 30,000 USD (cl. 15 para. 5). Thunderpick has 100,000 € a week (cl. 6.12).
- Instalments on large wins. Rocketpot splits wins from 5,000 USD into monthly payments of at most 5,000 USD (cl. 11.5). Vave sets no cap per period (cl. 8.8); if you win 50,000 USDT or more the operator may in exceptional cases split the amount into equal instalments.

Bonus terms: read the wagering before the amount
The welcome bonus is the first thing you see and the last thing you should judge. On Vave's campaign page, read on 24 August 2026, the first deposit gives 150% up to 1.5 BTC and 100 free spins; deposits two, three and four give 100, 50 and 25%. No wagering factor appears on that page, and cl. 8.11 on the deposit applies whether or not you take a bonus.
At others the requirement is written out. Rainbet states 40 times for its welcome bonus, where you choose between two routes with 100% up to 700 $ per step and 20 free spins. Bitcasino.io splits its welcome package over three deposits and at most 5,000 USDT; the bonus money has to be wagered 30 times within seven days, and each deposit has to be at least 50 USDT. Rocketpot's bonus terms, dated 10 August 2022, state 100 times. Wild Fortune caps winnings from the first three deposits at 7,500 Canadian dollars (cl. 11.15).
Always count backwards: the bonus amount multiplied by the wagering requirement is the sum you have to stake before the bonus money can be withdrawn. How to read the maximum stake, the excluded games and the time limits is gathered in the walkthrough of bonus rules.
Support and complaints
Foreign operators handle disputes in several steps, and it pays to document from the start. Keep e-mails and chat logs, write down dates and case numbers, and cite the clause the question concerns. A written answer carrying a clause number is easier to take further than a promise in a chat window.
The operator's own support is always the first instance. If the operator does not settle the matter, the next step is the authority or body the terms point to. At Rainbet, clause 21.6 names Gaming Services Provider N.V. For Curaçao licences it is the Curaçao Gaming Authority, for Anjouan licences the Anjouan licensing authority. Look the holder up before you need it, so that you know which company you have an agreement with.

Three profiles from the ranking
The operators differ more in their arrangements than in their range, and three examples show the spread.
Bitcasino.io suits the reader who wants to know where the line runs. The amount for documents is stated in euro, the licence is active for the domain and the coin list is long. There is, on the other hand, no deadline for the documents.
Wild Fortune suits the reader who wants clear caps. The limits per day, week and month are stated in euro, and you have two weeks for the paperwork. Against that, identification has to be shown before you play with bitcoin, and the licence expires on 29 September 2026.
Rainbet suits the reader who wants to get going with as few details as possible: the account opens with an e-mail address, and the check comes at the withdrawal. But the site publishes no licence number, and clause 20.1 names no sum.
All twelve, with Vave at the top, stand in the ranking on the front page. Which of them are new is gone through under newcomers in the list.
Four common misunderstandings
A few claims circulate that do not hold once you read the terms. Here are the four we are asked about most.
”Without a Swedish licence means without a licence.” That is rarely true. Most of these operators hold a permission from Curaçao or Anjouan, and it stands in a register anyone can search.
”A number in the footer is enough.” The number is only the operator's own statement. Rocketpot prints 1668/JAZ, but the Curaçao portal showed it as “not valid”, and Vave's certificate lists vavegame.com but not vave.com. Look the domain up before you deposit.
”There will be no identity check.” Every operator in the ranking has written down the right to ask for documents. At TrustDice the question came after roughly 5,000 US$ in withdrawals in total, with a Veriff link and several attempts before the passport was accepted. Have your documents ready from the start.
”The bonus is free money.” A wagering requirement turns the bonus into a sum you have to stake before it can be withdrawn. Rainbet states 40 times and Rocketpot's bonus terms 100 times. Do the arithmetic on the requirement first.
Playing within your own limits
Play should be entertainment you can afford. Decide on a budget before you deposit, take breaks, and stop when the budget is spent, even when a loss feels close to turning.
